Hiona (Lassithi): Located 90 km east of Agios Nikolaos town, 22 km from Sitia. 

Hiona beach has soft sand and clean water and in summer it is frequently affected by the strong winds that allow various watersports. When weather is calm, Hiona is a great place to swim and enjoy the wildness of East Crete.

The beach in Hiona, is not organized, so no umbrellas and equipment are available. It is an ideal choice for swimming and for some privacy. Few local taverns around the beach serving delicious Cretan food and fish.
